From Scratch Double Chocolate Hot Chocolate



























Genesis 8:21


[21] And when the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, the LORD said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done.


 

 

 

1/4 c white sugar

1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder, I used Nestle Toll House 

4 c milk, I used whole 

1/2 c semi sweet chocolate chips

1 t vanilla 


Put cocoa powder and sugar in a medium size pot, whisk together. 

Pour in milk, turn on medium heat, slowly whisk continuously, bring to a light boil, add chocolate chips and vanilla.

This was delicious, just with whipped cream.

You can add whipped cream, marshmallows, spices, etc

Special Occasion Agave Peach Bellini

2 c Kirkland canned peaches, drain and process to make purée 

1- 2 T agave

LaMarca Prosecco, I like the Italian ones 



Place 3-4 T peach purée in flute or wine glass. 

Add agave, stir into purée, then prosecco.

Taste and adjust!

Not So Spicy Poppers

An ej original recipe!



10 -12 Jalapeño, cut in half and scraped with a spoon to remove seeds and membranes 


Stuffing mix

6 oz soft cream cheese, not whipped

4 oz grated mozzarella 

1 T Mexi chili spice

2 t roasted mashed garlic

Big Pinch of dry Dill

1/4 c diced ham


Mix well, set aside


Mexi Chili Spice


2 T toasted cumin

1/2 t smoked paprika 

1/2 t garlic

1/2 t onion powder

1/4 t sugar

1/4 t salt

1/4 t pepper

Pinch pepper flakes


1/4 c panko

2 T melted butter

Mix

Set aside


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Stuff pepper halves.

Dip stuffed side into panko mixture.

Bake on parchment lined pan for 20-25 minutes, just until slightly browned.

We aren't a big fan of salami, mortadella etc!

So I did my own thing using Bourbon Ridge Ham, Honey Maple Turkey, Cheddar and Swiss.

Bourbon Ridge Ham

Maple Honey Turkey Breast

Cheddar

Swiss

Persillade relish, added a small can of black olives which I chopped

Oil and vinegar

Salt and pepper

Lettuce

Tomatoes 

Onion

Naan bread, pulled apart and toasted


Spread the Persillade relish.

Start layering with the seasoned veggies, one meat, one cheese, then another bread and repeat.

Cut into quarters.

Trim if you like to a square shape.

Wrap in plastic wrap, put in fridge for an hour.
