24 for "All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,
25 but the word of the Lord remains forever." And this word is the good news that was preached to you.  - 1 Peter 1:24-25

Cut bottom and top off and squeeze out whole onion.
Set aside.
In a small cast iron skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, cook 3 minutes.

Morning Glory Breakfast Cookies

Then they will cry to the LORD, but he will not answer them; he will hide his face from them at that time, because they have made their deeds evil.  - Micah 3:4

1 banana, mashed
1/4 c melted coconut oil minus 2 t
2 T palm sugar
1 t vanilla extract
1 t maple extract
3/4 c oat flour, process oats in food processor
3/4 c oats
1/2 t baking powder
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t powdered ginger
1/4 t salt
1/2 apple, peeled then grated
3/4 c carrots, grated
1/4 c chopped smoked almonds
1/4 c white raisins

Preheat oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Stir the banana, coconut oil, sugar, maple and vanilla together in a medium bowl.
In a separate medium mixing bowl, stir together the oat flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.
Add the banana mixture to the oat mixture and stir just until fully blended.
Fold in the apple, carrots, almonds, and raisins.
The batter should be moist, but you should be able to shape it into balls.
Shape about 3 t of the batter into a ball and place on the sheet.
Continue until all of the batter is used, and flatten.
Bake for about 18-20 minutes.
The cookies will be soft, but they should hold together, and will firm as they cool.
These remind me of fruit cake.

Spicy Shrimp Toast

20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.
21 And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."
22 In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong. - Job 1:20-22

This is a great recipe for entertaining.
They stay crispy in a warm oven for 30 minutes, maybe a longer time, but I didn't check to see!

8 oz. cleaned, peeled shrimp, no tail
1 small egg
1 T chives
1/2 t red pepper flakes
Pinch of Smoked Salt

4 slices of Sandwich Bread, I used Aldi brand honey wheat, remove crust and cut in half on the diagonal to make a triangle shape.
I did enough to get 8 triangles.

Panko bread crumbs
Oil/ clarified butter for frying

Pulse the shrimp, egg, smoked salt and chives a few times in food processor until you have a paste.
Place in bowl.
In a plate place some panko bread crumbs.
Dip bread triangle in shrimp paste, then in panko.
Also dip plain side in panko, shake gently.
Fry in oil.
These cook quickly and will burn.
Store in oven, on foil, on the warm setting.

Sauce for dipping
3 T mayo
2 T Sweet chili Thai sauce
2 T Hoisin

Mix well.

Easy Pan Toasted Orzo

9 What gain has the worker from his toil?
10 I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
12 I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live;
13 also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil-this is God's gift to man.
14 I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him.
15 That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away. - Ecclesiastes 3:9-15

1/2 c Orzo
1 t clarified butter
1/2 t red pepper flakes
1 t roasted garlic
1/2 t dried sweet basil
1/2 t chicken base seasoning
1/2 c water with 2 T half and half
1/2 c Parmesan

Melt butter in skillet, add Orzo, pepper flakes, garlic and basil, toast until lightly browned.
Stir constantly.
Stir chicken base into the water/cream, add to toasted Orzo/veggie mixture. Cook on low, covered, heat till liquid is absorbed and orzo is tender, then add cheese.
Serve with fish on top.
