2 servings


Toast 4 T slivered almonds on a paper plate in microwave in increments of 1 minute until crispy

Stir in between minutes 

Set aside


1-3/4 c water

1 c Quick Oats

1/8 t salt

Bring water to boil

Add oats cook 1 minutes stirring often 

Add oats to bowl


Toppings

1 T cream

1 T brown sugar 

1 T maple syrup 

2 T toasted slivered almonds

2 T fresh blueberries 

Stir

Breakfast Sausage cooked

Pepper Jack cheese


Versatile Dough

I've used this bread machine dough for steakhouse rolls and now Kolaches


1/4 c 80-90 degree water

1 c 80-90 degree milk 

1 t kosher salt

1-1/2 T melted butter

1 egg 

1/4 c white sugar

3-1/2 c aerated bread flour 

2-1/4 t quick yeast


Add to machine 

Use dough cycle 

1-1/2 hour

Check in a few minutes after starting to make sure it's not too dry or wet

Adjust with flour for too wet or water for too dry

End of cycle, remove to lightly floured parchment 

Punch down 

Mash out to 1/2 thick 

12 inch rectangular 

Fold over 

Cover 

Rest 15 minutes 

Cut to desired size using pizza cutter

Mash out, fill with cooked breakfast sausage, cut smoked sausage pieces or lil smokies

Add cheese, seal and bake

350 preheated degree oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown 

Butter top

1 3/4 c water

1 c quick oats

1/8 t salt

1 T maple syrup 

1 T brown sugar

1/4 t Cinnamon (optional)

Toasted pecans, chopped 

Pat of Butter


Put water and salt in small pan

Bring to boil

Add oats, cook 1 minute

Remove and place in bowl

Add toppings and stir

Enjoy

Psalm 18:46


    [46] The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock,

        and exalted be the God of my salvation—



3/4 c butter, room temp

3/4 c packed brown sugar 

1/4 c white sugar

1 whole egg plus 1 yolk

1/4 c sourdough discard

2 t vanilla extract 

2 c AP flour, aerated

1 T cornstarch 

1 t baking soda 

1/2 t salt

1 c chocolate chips, your choice 

1/4 c chocolate chips for decoration(optional)


350 degree preheated oven for 20-25 min

9 inch spring form pan, greased and lined with parchment 

Cream sugars and butter together in stand mixer 3-5 minutes until fluffy and pale in color 

Beat egg in

Beat yolk in

Add sourdough 

Add vanilla 

Mix dry ingredients in bowl then add to butter mixture a 1/4 at at time 

Hand stir in chocolate chips 

Bake until edges are golden and set

Middle will be slightly under cooked but will set as it cools

Cool and decorate

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who addressed the words of this song to the LORD on the day when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said:


    [1] I love you, O LORD, my strength. 

    [2] The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,

        my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,

        my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.



2 c AP flour, aerated 

2 t sugar

1 t salt

1 c cold butter, grated

1 c sourdough discard 


In large bowl, combine flour salt and sugar 

Work butter in using a light touch

Add discard and stir just till combined 

Divide dough in half

Press into disks

Chill 2 hours

Roll out to 12 inch size

Drape over 9 inch plate

Ready to use
