and years will be added to your life.
1 1/2 c light brown sugar
1/2 c granulated sugar
1 c butter, melted
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 t vanilla extract
1/2 t kosher salt
1 1/2 c self-rising flour
1 1/2 c chopped walnuts
1 c slightly mashed ripe figs
Glaze
2 T Molasses
1/4 c Maple syrup
1/2 t Balsamic vinegar
Make and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
Spray with nonstick spray and set aside.
Using a hand mixture combine the sugars and butter until combined and creamed. Add in the eggs, vanilla, and salt and mix on medium speed for 1 minute until smooth.
Using the mixer, mix in the flour until just combined.
Fold in the walnuts and figs.
Transfer mixture to your prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is just set and the edges are lightly golden.
Brush on the glaze while the bread is warm.
Cool completely in the pan, and then cut into squares.
