Spicy Honey Roasted Cashews





























16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and for him.

2 c raw cashews
3 T Honey
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of Cayenne pepper
1/2 t olive oil 

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
In a large bowl, add Honey, salt, pepper and oil.
Place parchment in a large jelly roll pan.
Bake nuts for 7 minutes, take out and place warm cashews in the bowl with the honey mixture.
Mix well and place on pan keeping nuts separate.
Bake 250 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Every 30 minutes, flip with spatula.
Cool until the nuts become crisp.
These are delicious!!

Spicy Honey Roasted Pecans































Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  - Psalm 2:11



3 c pecans
1/8 t cayenne pepper
3 T honey
Salt, a pinch sprinkled over nuts


Cook pecans, single layer, in preheated 250 degree oven for 7 minutes on parchment.
Remove and place in a bowl. Add honey and cayenne.
Stir well then sprinkle with salt.
Put back on parchment and bake another 
1 1/2 - 2 hours. 
Cool and put in air tight container.

Roasted Chickpea Snackers

                                                                                                                                         




Spray with olive oil cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil 
2 c canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained    
 1/4 t garlic powder    
 1/8 t red pepper flakes (or 2 t Cajun seasoning)

  
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. Spread chickpeas on baking sheet and sprinkle with garlic powder and red pepper or Cajun seasoning; toss to coat. Roast on bottom rack of oven, shaking pan about every 15 minutes, until browned and slightly crunchy, about 45 to 50 minutes. (The chickpeas will still be somewhat soft. Cook longer for desired texture.) Cool before serving. Yield about 1/2 cup per serving.
