Greek Yogurt Biscuits

    [1] God is our refuge and strength,

        a very present help in trouble. 

    [2] Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,

        though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, 

    [3] though its waters roar and foam,

        though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah



2 c AP flour(aerate flour before measuring) 

1 T fresh baking powder

1/2 t baking soda 

1 t kosher salt

Whisk together

Set aside


3/4 c stiff full fat Greek Yogurt ( I used 5% Fage)

Place in freezer 15 minutes 


1 egg

1/2 c full fat buttermilk 

Beat egg into buttermilk 

Set aside


Egg wash 

Beaten egg 

1 t water


Preheat oven to 400 f

Lay a sheet of parchment on a sheet pan

Cut yogurt into flour mixture 

Add buttermilk mixture, incorporate using rubber spatula 

Dust flour onto a piece of parchment 

Add dough and pat out to 1/2 inch thickness, use extra flour if dough is too sticky 

Cut biscuits out with a floured 2 inch cutter

Place 2 inches apart 

Brush with egg wash

Bake 16 minutes until golden brown
