Brisket Philly Cheese Steak on Brioche Buns

For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. - 1 Corinthians 1:18

The thing I love about brisket is, it's so versatile!
You can make cheese steak or Cubans.
You can make gravy and add the beef, serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
You can make nachos.
You can make BBQ's.
Bake one off and go wild!!!

2 c Shredded brisket

2 Brioche buns

Caramelized Onions
Melt 2 T butter and add 1 onion, thin sliced, cooked until slightly browned, pinch of salt
Add meat to onion mixture.
Set aside

Cheese sauce
1/2 c milk
1/2 c heavy Cream
2 T Velveeta
1/4 c mixed shredded Havarti and Manchego
Pinch of Salt, cracked pepper, smoked cumin, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic granules

On low heat, warm liquids, add cheeses and seasonings, cook until cheese melts and thickens.

To assemble, on griddle toast buns.
Remove to plate.
Add onion/brisket to bun, add cheese sauce and devour!
You can add pickles, sweet or sour or pickled jalapeƱo would be good too!
